DramaEnglish languageMusic 21 Sep 2026

World Teachers’ Day is taking place on 5 October, and Trinity College London want to celebrate all the teachers who give so much of their time, energy and creativity to their students, by sharing a collection of free teaching resources designed to support teachers across Music, Drama and English Language.

From sparking a love of theatre and the arts, to building confidence through music and performance, the impact of a great teacher can stay with us long after we leave the classroom. So, take a peek below to find FAQs, guides and resources. Don’t forget to share with colleagues and friends who may also find them useful!

Teaching Music?

Introducing Piano improvisation

Want some fun and easy ways to introduce the concept of improvisation to your piano students? We’ve got you covered.

This series of resource videos follows Lucinda Mackworth-Young, as she demonstrates techniques that a teacher could use to incorporate improvising as part of regular lessons on exam pieces from Initial grade to grade 3.

Teaching Drama?

Find your perfect fit with our Drama exam finder tool

Selecting drama qualifications for your education setting can sometimes feel challenging. We’ve created an online quiz to help you find exams that are a good fit, whether you’re exploring drama assessments for the first time or you’re an experienced teacher.

The quiz considers key performance skills, along with your teaching goals and how exams could work at your school. Once you’ve completed the quiz you will receive a personalised recommendation, and you can choose to access free tailored resources.

Communication Skills

Developing real-world communication skills

Help your students find their voice with our Communication Skills Scheme of Work resources. These free-to-access teaching materials provide teachers with a clear, classroom-ready structure for building essential speaking and presentation skills in a supportive and engaging way.

Two versions are available, for younger learners (ages 8-11+) and older learners (ages 16–18) each offering practical guidance and tools that can be built into curriculum teaching or offered as a distinct programme.

Teaching English language?
